First, the more steps you have, the longer the ramp required. Very short ramps are steep, difficult to use and dangerous. Count the number of steps at your entrance.

Second, rental costs can run between $40.00 to $80.00** per step. There is a set up and removal charge as well. The larger and more complex the ramp, and the greater the travel distance to your home will factor into the set up charge.

Multiply the number of steps as follows:
Larger ramps with rails x $40 to $80 per step (Plus set up and removal charges)
Small ramps without rails x $25 to $50/ per step (Plus set up and removal charges)

** Shorter ramps ($40.00 per step) require family assistance. Longer ramps ($80.00 per step) allow independent use in a manual wheelchair.
